About Us
Successfully operating for over 36 years, Wangaratta Horizontal Boring Pty Ltd was first established by Wayne Suter, who has over 39 years of experience in the horizontal boring/directional drilling field. Being the first company to import and use a steerable directional borer, Wangaratta Horizontal Boring Pty Ltd pioneered the use of directional drilling borers in Australia. We are well-known throughout the boring industry and among major contractors as being reliable, highly skilled, professional operators and as the leading innovators of HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) technology.
Our Service History
As the owner, with over 39 years of experience, Wayne is one of the primary operators of the boring machines and guides the team to excellence. We have a leading hand managing the overall operations, who has been employed in the company for over 18 years. We also have a directional drill operator—serving the company for over 15 years—who is also our operations manager. Our team of both highly trained and knowledgeable employees provide the best service in the industry that results in our reputation as leaders in the boring and drilling business.
Our Machinery & Equipment
We use a Vermeer 20x22 Series 2 for smaller jobs, 2 x Vermeer 36x50 Series 2 for mid-large range jobs, 1x Vermeer 40x55DR Series 3 for Rock and a Goodeng GD600 for large-extra large jobs. We also have a fleet of our own trailer mounted vacuum unit, several trucks, excavator, backhoe and grout machine. Our machinery is operated by well-trained operators who have years of experience and all required licensing.
